How many of us, set New Year resolutions at the start of January and then fail to achieve these? Is this the right way to start a new year?
This year, rather than make New Year resolutions, use that energy and vision to set yourself a personal goal.
Make this goal - specific, measurable and achievable. Identify what else you need to help you achieve the goal and how long it will take to achieve it and then DO IT.
When you have achieved this goal - try another one, in a different part of your life. Clearly define what you want, how you are going to get it, when you will know you have it and how you will celebrate.
Areas of your life you may want to consider:
- Fun and recreation
- Social relationships
- Health
- Career
- Helping others
- Family relationships
- Love
- Finances.
Try this once and I am confident you will make a positive difference in 2009. To take this further, contact me for personal one to one coaching sessions.
